"No kid should have to go through this..." ~ Tyler DeMarco

It was cold and windy, but these people, THESE PEOPLE!

(L to R) Sarah DeMarco, Ryan DeMarco, Don DeMarco (Tyler DeMarco Foundation), Al Denny, Gerry Rosenbarker (Tournament Coordinators)

The 12th Annual Joe Johnson Memorial Bass Tournament took place yesterday, Saturday October 8th, 2022 marking the 5th consecutive year these hard-core, fun-loving, thoughtful, and munificent, men and women have invited Tyler DeMarco Foundation as the beneficiary of their charitable giving.

The yearly tournament is dedicated in memory of Joe Johnson, a beloved fishing enthusiast, friend, father, businessman, and local race car legend, #32. On hand to support the fishermen/women as they are every year, was Joe Johnsons wife, Patricia, their children, and growing family.

When Jennifer, Joe and Patricia’s daughter addressed the crowd, she spoke of her Dad and thanked the tournament coordinators and participants for the charitable funding they provide Tyler DeMarco Foundation in Joe’s memory. Jennifer then pointed out two significant numbers: 32 & 12. 32 boats were entered into this years tournament – #32 was Joe Johnson’s race car number. 12 belonged to Joe’s brother, Jennifer’s uncle, “Jump’n” Jack Johnson, also a local legend race car driver. Sadly, Jack Johnson passed away two years ago.

These folks have great enthusiasm for the sport and it shows in their excited child-like smiles, friendly fun-loving competitive ribbing, and the laughter that abounds throughout this day-long event. Revenue generated by raffle participation, silent auctions, 50/50, donations made by Thomas Patrick Morrison Foundation (Tim Morrison), and Modern Welding School (Daubert Family) created a record setting charitable donation presented to Tyler DeMarco Foundation in the amount of $7,525.00!

Simply stated, THESE PEOPLE are AMAZING!

Thank you, All!

Sincerely,
Tyler DeMarco Foundation
