Blake Family Presents Donation

May 21, 2018 –

(L to R) Tina Blake, Don DeMarco, Karrie Blake

The Blake family presented a check donation to the Tyler DeMarco Foundation in the amount of $5,180.00 – proceeds from their recently held Fred ‘Snake’ Blake Memorial Tournament.

We first met the Blake family in November 2006 when they selected our amazing Tyler as the benefactor of the inaugural memorial event they created in honor of their deeply loved and wildly missed father and husband, Fred ‘Snake’ Blake whom had passed away only two months prior in September 2006. At that time Tyler was still recovering from invasive brain surgery and undergoing a long and aggressive regimen of radiation and chemotherapy.

Since that inaugural memorial event the Blake family has continued their quest to bring some sense of normalcy, reprieve, joy and monetary assistance to ten other seriously ill children as they have now completed year twelve of this annual 2-day bowling tournament.

This year the Blake family informed us that they would bestow all the proceeds of the Fred ‘Snake’ Blake Memorial Tournament to the Tyler DeMarco Foundation for the work we do for all children being treated for cancer within the Capital Region.

Tyler DeMarco Foundation wants to thank the incredible Blake family and all of you that made this wonderful donation possible. Here it goes …

Our heartfelt thanks to:
Karrie Marie Blake; Tina Blake; Freddie Blake Jr.; Sandy Blake; Marty Capullo Jr. (Town Bowling Academy/Owner); Dawn Mara (TDF Vol. Rep) and all the participants, donors and supporters who truly helped make this year’s Fred ‘Snake’ Blake Memorial Tournament another wonderful success…

THANK YOU * THANK YOU * THANK YOU * THANK YOU * THANK YOU, TO ALL OF YOU!
