In the words of the great Phil Rizzuto …“HO’LY COW!!!”
On Tuesday May 12th the Schalmont Sabers HS varsity baseball team took a stand to Strikeout against Cancer by playing a benefit game in support of the Tyler DeMarco Foundation. The contest was held on home turf against the Schenectady Patriots.
During the game, raffles were sold for prizes and donations were collected from spectators of both teams. All proceeds went to the foundation. Schalmont baseball players from each division also collected donations in the weeks leading up to game day. The Sabers raised a total of $1,643.00 and donated the entire amount to the foundation!
Strikeout against Cancer game score: Sabers 6 – Patriots 1
The foundation wishes to say THANK YOU to the Schalmont coaches and players for their hard work, generosity, and commitment in making this benefit a success. The foundation also wishes to say THANK YOU to the families, friends and fans who supported the Sabers in their STRIKEOUT AGAINST CANCER!
